Central IRB in Europe

 

The International Medical & Dental Ethics Commission (IMDEC) has provided independent ethical and legal reviews of drug, medical-device and consumer-product studies since its founding in 1995.

 

IMDEC’s overarching goal is to protect the welfare, the rights and the dignity of those persons who volunteer to participate in clinical research. The achievement of this goal represents the cornerstone of good clinical practice and the best possible service an ethics commission/IRB can offer the initiators of clinical research.  

 

·         Registered at the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte)

 

·         Registered at the Office of Human Research Protections of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
